Martin O’Neill made sure signing at least one wide player this summer window was one of the significant Celtic priorities they had to get spot on.
As it transpired, the Hoops would bring in two if counting the molten-hot Camilo Duran who has also shown he is more than capable as a striker through the middle.
The thought process for O’Neill and his scouting staff was that Jota would remain sidelined for quite some time despite the Portuguese finally returning to the Lennoxtown grass, albeit in dribs and drabs. The playmaker, 27, was the talk of the town for a while in terms of how the Hoops might cope without him.
