One Door Closes, Two Need to Open: Celtic's Route to Becoming Seeded in the Champions League Qualifiers
Just a few days ago, Celtic fans were clinging to the hope that a place in the seeded pot for the Champions League Play-off round could be secured with a bit of luck and a few favourable results across Europe. Fast forward to now, and one of those doors has slammed shut thanks to a familiar face.
Ange Postecoglou’s Spurs knocked Bodø/Glimt out of the UEFA Europa League last night, and in doing so, removed one of the key pathways Celtic had to leap into the seeded half of the draw. With the Norwegians now officially placed on the seeded side, Celtic remain stuck in the unseeded bracket - at least for now.
